Questions, answered plainly.
How printing, holidays, and your data actually work. If something here does not match what you are seeing, that is a bug worth reporting.
Printing
Why is my calendar cut off when I print it?
The page is wider than your printer's printable area. Set the scale to "fit to printable area" in the print dialog, or reduce the browser margins to "minimum". For a year overview, switch the orientation to landscape.
Does it work on Letter and A4?
Yes. Every page is laid out in relative units rather than fixed inches, so it adapts to whichever paper size your printer reports. Choose your size in the print dialog before printing.
Can I save a PDF instead of printing?
Yes. Choose "Save as PDF" in the destination menu of your browser's print dialog. The PDF is produced entirely by your browser — Made for Paper never receives a copy.
Why do the buttons and navigation disappear when I print?
That is deliberate. A dedicated print stylesheet hides the header, footer, controls, and explanatory text so the sheet that reaches your printer contains only the calendar or planner itself.
Is there a watermark or a page limit?
No. There is no watermark, no page limit, no account, and no paid tier. Print as many copies as you need.
Dates and holidays
Which holidays are included?
The eleven U.S. federal holidays, following the Office of Personnel Management schedule. State holidays, bank holidays, school terms, and religious observances are not included.
What is the difference between an actual and an observed date?
The actual date is when the holiday falls. The observed date is when federal offices close for it. A fixed-date holiday landing on a Saturday is observed the Friday before; one landing on a Sunday is observed the Monday after. Both are labelled separately so you can see which is which.
Can I start the week on Monday instead of Sunday?
Yes. Choose "Week starts: Monday" in any monthly calendar. Your choice is remembered on this device for the next visit.
Do the dates shift depending on my timezone?
No. Dates are generated with UTC-based civil-date arithmetic, so a given calendar square shows the same date regardless of where you open it.
Your data
Do I need an account?
No. There is no signup, no login, and no email required for anything on the site.
What happens to a calendar file I import?
The .ics file is read inside the browser tab you opened it in. Event titles are never uploaded, never written into the URL, and never saved alongside your display preferences. Reloading the page clears them, and "Clear imported events" removes them immediately.
What is stored on my device?
Only display preferences: your week start, whether holidays are shown, and roomy or compact spacing. These live in your browser's local storage and can be removed by clearing site data.
Does the site work offline?
Once a page has loaded, the calendar, planner, and calculator all run locally, so they keep working if your connection drops. Navigating to a page you have not visited yet still needs a connection.
